Innovation and plant expertise
For over 30 years, Clarins has been a pioneer in longevity science, founded on a holistic vision of beauty grounded in science and nature, aligned in well-being and balance, to support a framework for a life of vitality and longevity. Through the years, our ongoing research and innovation has explored the biological mechanisms of skin aging to set a healthy foundation and help skin perform at its best. This enduring commitment has led to 10 patents,¹ 13 scientific publications and 12 scientific collaborations with leading research institutes from around the world. Rooted in the Clarins DNA from the very beginning, this expertise drives the groundbreaking innovation behind Extra-Firming.
Our NEW [Collagen]³ Technology is inspired by the the science of proteostasis, one of the 12 biological mechanisms of skin longevity, that determines the body's ability to maintain healthy, functional proteins. This technology, found in all Extra Firming moisturizers, helps support skin's collagen for visibly firmer, more resilient skin. At its core is bioenginnered Collagen Polypeptide, a next-generation innovation created by stimulating plant-based hosts to produce a collagen-like polypeptide. This breakthrough allows us to offer one of the most efficacious, eco-responsible forms of collagen.
Niacinamide, a powerful reference molecule, was chosen for its ability to help even skin tone and brighten the overall complexion.
