Oud possesses a great cultural significance because of its use in traditional incense and perfumes, and it is also mentioned in one of the world’s oldest written texts – the Sanskrit Vedas from India. Oud is a woody fragrance that merges patchouli and cedar wood which give a smoky character to the composition. Cardamom, negarmotha and olibanum contribute the depth and complexity to top note while the heart includes cedar wood, leather and patchouli. Woody notes, amber and musk in the base provide the elegant silage on skin.
